Amazing Staff in a Beautiful Setting

My wife and I recently stayed at La Valise for our anniversary, and couldn’t have had a more fantastic stay. With only nine rooms at La Valise, the staff knows you by name from the moment you walk up to the open-air check-in. The view from registration, which is also where you eat breakfast and other meals at the hotel, is a gorgeous outdoor view of the ocean.

We stayed in a Jungle Room, and while it didn’t offer the view of the ocean from the room, it was a beautiful and charming room with an outdoor shower. I can’t say enough about the staff that took care of anything we needed with genuine flyboard cozumel recommendations as well. All of their recommendations, from restaurants to drivers, were spot on.

Carlos, Ruben, Victor, etc. was a delight every time. They took care of us from the second we were greeted and never stopped making sure we were enjoying ourselves. And besides that, the beach was cleared from seaweed every day from sunrise to sunset and accommodated 9-day beds, one for every room in the hotel (9 bedrooms) — also a freezing shower directly on the beach to wash off all the salt and sand.

When we couldn’t think it could any better we found out that the delicious Room Service Menu was the dinner menu of the to the partner Restaurant “NÜ Tulum” led by Star Chef Cesar Castañeda (one of Mexico’s ten best chefs under 30).

We went there three times for dinner and savored every single dish we were able to try. His love for detail and precision in flavors were a culinary highlight that is a MUST DO in Tulum. It was by far the most delicious Mexican Restaurant in Tulum.

We traveled from the UK to have eleven wonderful nights at La Valise Tulum. It was my husbands 50th birthday, so we also took our sons aged 19 and 16 for a family holiday to remember. As soon as we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome, and we were told to think of La Valise as our home for the next eleven nights. All the staff was amicable and helpful with everything we needed.

We had a beautiful beachfront room which was very spacey and opened out onto a decked area straight onto the beach. The other side of our room opened out onto the infinity pool. The boys stayed in a large rustic room set in the jungle garden. The hotel is on Tulum beach in a quiet area; it is impeccably clean, relaxed, and stylish. The breakfast selection and menu are one of the best I have ever had anywhere, and the food at their restaurant “NU” was fantastic, and we went there several times. Everything about this small boutique hotel was more than perfect. I highly recommend it.
